During the
summer of 1995, Sister Johnson participated in the Women's

Organizations' Fourth World Conference. There were 232 women from 42
countries on the train, she conducted "building bridges"
workshop to encourage celebrating racial and cultural diversity. In
December of 1999, Minister Melody answered her call to ministry. Dr.
William E. Flippin, Sr., her father in the ministry, licensed her as
Minister of The Gospel of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church in
September of 2001. Since December of 2002, Minister Melody has been on
temporary assignment at The Grove, Outreach Ministries-The Love Center
as instructed by Dr. William E. Flippin, Sr., to be distinguished…as
The Church with The Helping Hands!
Pastor
Melody's "most precious accomplishment" is being the mother
of her twenty-one years of age daughter, Uzuri. Uzuri inspires
Minister Melody's commitment to processes, which foster individual
dignity, mutual respect, and trust that affirms the importance of
unity while celebrating diversity.
