About Us
The
Sharing & Caring food
pantry provides monthly emergency assistance for
food to persons or families experiencing financial difficulties or
homelessness. We believe that food is a basic and fundamental
right for every woman, man and child of God. The pantry is staffed
by volunteers serving those who are hungry or in need of food
throughout the metro-Atlanta area and surrounding counties. We
offer canned, non-perishable goods and when available meats and
dairy from the Atlanta
Community Food Bank.
Our
pastor, Dr. William E. Flippin
believes that we can equip and empower God's people to overcome
all obstacles (Philippian 4:13). He teaches that self-reliance
comes with "helping hands" to include not only a hand
out, but a hand-up! Sharing & Caring food pantry operating
with this understanding by offering support services including
Angel Food, Hot Meals, Sylvia Taylor
Flippin's Sunday Worship & Breakfast, benevolence ministry
for mortgage, rent or utility (electric, water & gas)
assistance and other innovative-life changing and crisis
intervention opportunities. |
